Marylebone Town Hall
I absolutely LOVE being a London wedding photographer. London is my home and a place I am very much in love with and that includes the beautiful London town halls. I have been so fortunate to photograph many town hall weddings and Marylebone Town Hall is definitely top of the list.
I had never photographed there until the Pandemic and it had always been on my bucket list of London wedding venues so I was over the moon when I photographed three weddings there last year. All perfect micro wedding days.
The building itself is iconic with its huge pillared entrance and lions at the front. It has seen some famous people through their doors with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Liam Gallagher all getting married there.
One of my favourite parts about weddings at Marylebone Town Hall is after you have got married and you go out onto the street you get lots of the traffic congratulating you by beeping their horns. It’s such a nice moment and one that is pretty unique to Marylebone.
The staff at the town hall are also amazing. Despite this years restrictions they have all worked so hard to make sure that every wedding there no matter how small was just as special in any wedding in normal times.
I also want to talk about the light because the light at Marylebone is beautiful. The colour of the marble inside and the directional light in the ceremony room all add this extra lovely feel to photos making it a really creative space to work in as a photographer.
Another great thing about Marylebone Town Hall is that the surrounding area is perfect for couple photos that have that London feel. From cute mews streets to the more bustling Baker Street and it’s not a million miles away from Regents Park. This means after your confetti and group photos on those iconic steps we are not short on choice for some epic couple photos.
I really hope to be photographing many more weddings at Marylebone Town Hall in the future.
