Wedding Photographer in London. Dion & Lindi's elopement at Chelsea Old Town Hall & St Pancras Renaissance Hotel.
So I am writing to you today from the other side of a crazy weekend of moving me and the girls back to Kent. I am pretty much all unpacked and enjoying the rainy view from my desk. The horses are all settled and the prime booking time is in full swing, with meeting with an awesome couple yesterday, another one this evening and later in the week PLUS being 80% booked for 2017 I am itching to get started on the weddings this year!
In the meantime, though I still have some lovely ones from last year that need their air time :) and considering the dreary weather today this one will work perfectly. So put down the conflicting politics for 10mins and enjoy some Love in London.
Last September I was invited to photograph the elopement of Dion & Lindi in London for a few hours. I honestly do love a good elopement, whether it's just the couple and witnesses or with a few extra friends. There is something special about a small and intimate wedding.
We began at Chelsea Old Town Hall which I have to say even in the rain is a wonderful spot for a wedding. I have always been a bit intrigued by the glamour of the Kings Road so it was wonderful to photograph. These guys had a beautiful, emotional and lovely little ceremony with their closest friends so it was an honour to witness as well.
Afterwards with umbrellas at the ready, we all bundled into a limo for a ride across the city to the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel which is definitely one of Londons most beautiful hotel locations. The limo ride was super fun to photograph, although nowhere to really move it was a great atmosphere and I particularly love the black and white photograph of Lindi gazing out the window with all the rain on it.
I was not disappointed at the hotel. The place is incredible and the staircase at the back (probably its most famous wedding photo location) was where we did some couple photos and group shots so the rain didn't bother us in the slightest :) Turns out Dion is a pretty damn good piano player so photographing him playing with Lindi next to him was amazing!
I waited while they got changed into their evening gladrags before hitting the city with their friends to celebrate to get some shots in the main entrance as the floral design at the front was particularly pleasing :)
All in all this little wedding was perfect and amazing to photograph!
