London micro wedding at Marylebone Town Hall with Ellie & Chris.

Micro wedding photographer in London

Look at me blogging a week after my last one. Lockdown means suddenly my diary has cleared and I have a month on my own with marketing and admin.

That being said it’s so nice to go through these wonderful micro weddings I have been photographing in London over the past few months. I am hoping and praying that my December ones can go ahead as well.

2020 has seen many changes in the wedding industry this year and it’s also seen couples having to change their plans multiple times. First rule of 2020 is don’t hold on to plans, we now live in a world where we have to let go and change direction at the drop of a hat.

That doesn’t mean that there isn’t any joy.

In fact, there is plenty of it.

Starting with Ellie & Chris. I was booked in August for their big wedding which was going to be at Marylebone Town Hall and then Pembroke Lodge in Richmond. Covid had other plans though and after 3 lots of changes due to the ever changing government restrictions Ellie & Chris got married with seven of their favourite people at Marylebone Town Hall.

It was such a perfect ceremony with all the emotion deserving of a wedding and I would say even more special because despite everything two people who love each other still got married. Oh and Ellie looked incredible in her Pronovias wedding dress and her hair and makeup was done by one of my favourites Makeupology.

We then headed to Hyde Park for some more emotion as Ellie & Chris had readings they wanted to say but couldn’t during their ceremony. This has probably been my favourite element of weddings this year, couples have thought outside the box to still make them special.

After some couple photos everyone made their way to The Ritz for dinner. Sadly I wasn’t allowed in for that bit BUT I met them after and we headed to Trafalgar Square and Embankment for some more couple photos as Ellie & Chris wanted to include more of the city in their images.

All in all it was the perfect micro wedding. I am really loving that term and I really feel like although this year has been so challenging, difficult and emotional it’s been the birth of things like micro weddings that have made it a little bit wonderful as well.
