Wedding photo of the week. Twenty two.

Essex wedding photographer

Well it’s been a while since one of these. It’s definitely not week number twenty two of 2020… or is it? Who knows anymore.

Lot’s has happened in the past two weeks. I am moving to East London in September, Pearl has gone to be wild in Canterbury and I am walking 630miles for charity in 3 weeks time. Literally you could not make life up sometimes.

This year has been a killer and now nearly all of my weddings this year have postponed and that makes me sad but next year is going to be full of so much joy it’s going to be amazing. I do however have some lovely engagement sessions to look forward to starting with Amy & Giles this Saturday so I will have some shiny new content for on here and I can’t wait to photograph a couple again. I have also had tons of family photo shoots book in for the coming months which is also exciting.

So today I was writing a guest blog post for Grania who is a bespoke wedding stationer in London and one of my favourite people. I wrote about documentary wedding photography and the photos that really matter when you have a wedding and I came across this image while putting some images together for the blog.

This is one of my favourites from last year.

First of all Eleanor & Bill had the most EPIC Essex wedding ever at Eleanor’s family home and I loved every second of this joy filled day.

This image though gives me all the feels. Bill & Eleanor had had their big entrance to their wedding breakfast after a few hours in the sunshine with champagne and speeches. Everyone was on such a high and as they sat down this happened between Bill and his mum. It was a proper love filled moment with everyone looking so happy around them and I just caught it in time.

Yep I love the big hero couple photos or when you get perfect light or something big and totally original happens but nothing will ever beat these simple organic moments of love.
