Wedding Photographer in East Sussex with Robyn & Tom.
Hello, it's been a while!
June was an absolutely flat out month with some amazing weddings and lots of smaller projects, however, it has left my blog a little neglected. That is about to change though with the first wedding of June with Robyn & Tom at Battle Abbey in East Sussex!
What a day this was! The sun shone and I had the total pleasure of spending time with another fantastic couple and their wonderful friends and family.
I started off at Robyn's parent's house for bridal preparation. All was calm with the underlying buzz of excitement and despite a minor clothing emergency, all went smoothly. Robyn's Dad's reaction though when he saw her at the bottom of the stairs had to be my favourite part.
Battle Abbey is an incredible place to get married! They had their ceremony in the hall with that huge dramatic painting of the battle of 1066 above them and lots of fairy lights. It was perfect. It was then outside for confetti, group photos and champagne!
The wedding breakfast was held in the library and the afternoon was filled with good food, more champagne and heartfelt and hilarious speeches from Robyn, her Dad, Tom and the best man. Oh how I love the speeches. I am always spoilt with so many amazing ones that really show just how loved my couples are.
After the breakfast Robyn, Tom and I headed out for some photos in the sun. We started with the ruin of the Monks Dormitory which is just stunning with these big arches and old stonework. It really is worth a visit.
Then we headed out to the battlefield of 1066 which is now enjoyed by lots of sheep. It was the last of days light and we got some great photos, helping your wife pick her way through sheep's poo makes for some lovely moments photographically!
It was then back to the Abbey for cake cutting and dancing! I had such a great day with such an amazing couple! Thank you so much for choosing me Robyn & Tom!
