Wedding photo of the week. Twenty three.
So it’s been a couple of weeks since doing one of these but things have been BUSY again. I have been doing lots of shoots for my sister business The Woman & The Wolf which is where I help female entrepreneurs be visible. I have also had a couple of beautiful pre-wedding shoots with some of my couples who have had to postpone this year.
So things are very much back in full swing which I am loving. I also found out that I definitely have a wedding going ahead in August which makes me so so happy and I can’t wait to spend the day with Ellie & Chris.
It’s also been all go on the walk prep. My 630mile walk for charity doing the entire South West Coast path starts next Tuesday and I can’t wait for 6 weeks of adventure before I move to East London in September. This year has definitely had some serious lows but it’s also throwing out some really exciting changes.
So choosing todays image for wedding photo of the week got me all nostalgic as I rolled back to 2017 and Julie & Gareth’s gorgeous London wedding at St Helen’s Bishopsgate and Banking Hall.
Firstly, I have nothing but the happiest of memories working with these guys from engagement shoot to the day they are some of the most lovely humans. The whole day was filled with fun and love. I have chosen this photo though as nothing quite beats a ‘we just got married’ exit.
it’s literally the happiest of moments for so many couples. I also always feel like it’s tinged with relief as so many are nervous before the ceremony that once it’s done you can then relax. It’s mostly though filled with joy that you have just married your person and you have a whole future together to look forward too.
This is the reason why I am loving going back over my old weddings as I very much keep up to date with my previous couples and so many of them have now started their own families and are building that future together. Looking back at these moments of happiness on their wedding days and seeing the excitement for the future that is now coming to pass is where I find a lot of reward as a wedding photographer.
So here is too happy memories and making new ones.
