Hampton Court House wedding photographer with Alice & Tom.

Hampton Court House Wedding

So despite how crazy busy the wedding season is in 2021 I have found myself with 20mins on a train to write this blog post. Marketing is definitely not up to scratch this year for the obvious reasons and it’s annoying me because I have some AMAZING weddings to show you.

Today though it’s all about Alice & Tom and their magical day at Hampton Court House. This was back in the days before restrictions were lifted (yes that’s how behind I am) and this wedding was my first real taste of the joy that was to come this year.

You see I hadn’t experienced dancing at a wedding for nearly 2yrs. All the micro weddings have been incredible but I have been missing that lovely coming together of people dancing and singing. Now this wasn’t a party as such as they were still illegal but Alice & Tom had hired an accordion player to serenade them and their guests down to a boat after the day at Hampton Court House and it was one of the most emotional moments of my career.

Firstly everyone got stuck in to having a good old dance outside the house which was so much fun before we started walking down to the river. But then as we were walking down 100s of people started cheering, beeping their horns and clapping for Alice & Tom and it was just wonderful. I actually started crying along with several other people because it was the first time I felt like my job was starting to make a full return and people were just so happy to see a wedding, something that had been illegal for a long time.

I will always remember Alice & Tom’s wedding as the day I felt the weight of the last 18months start to lift. It really was so incredibly perfect and I am so grateful that I got to be a part of it.
