London Winter Wedding Inspiration at Marylebone Town Hall.
I am so excited to blog this gorgeous winter wedding at Marylebone Town Hall. K&C came over from Canada to celebrate their love with their nearest and dearest. London just before Christmas always feel so magical. In fact, I can feel that in my body now as we are in Autumn and my favourite part of the year.
There is something about this wedding that makes me feel that complicated emotion we call nostalgia. I can’t make sense of that. Maybe it was because this wedding wasn’t huge, it was also deeply personal with a different flow to normal and of course it was how much K&C love each other and are loved by their people.
I went and met them for the final bits of prep before we wandered the streets of Soho for some couple photos. The weather was that beautiful winter cold but sunny with magical light. Our first stop for the day was lunch at Kolamba, an incredible Sri Lankan restaurant in Soho, there was drinks and feasting before we hopped on an old double decker bus for a tour of London.
It was magical to drive around London at this time of day with the sun setting on the city.
And then as the sun disappeared we arrived at The Old Marylebone Town Hall. One of our most iconic town halls in London. I always love photographing here. It’s so beautiful and the staff are all so lovely. This was my first visit in the dark though. K&C had their ceremony in the Westminster room and it was perfect. I am especially proud of capturing confetti in the dark with a flash!
It was then back on the bus to head for the Regents Canal. Their evening was going to be spent celebrating on the Prince Regent Boat run by the London Shell Co. I was able to join them for a little bit before the boat set off and I have to say this is a WONDERFUL way to celebrate getting married. I am considering it for my 40th.
This whole day was an honour to photograph and I hope you enjoy some of my favourite images below.
The other brilliant suppliers were…
Suits from Banana Republic, flowers by Flowers & Branch and confetti from Proper Confetti.
