My best of Twenty Eighteen.

wedding photographer UK

Well what can I say about 2018? For a start it has been amazing. I have worked with some incredible couples this year who I could not be more grateful to for trusting me to capture their wedding days. This blog post is very much a tribute to you all as without you I would not be able to do the work I love.

I have been all over the UK this year from Scotland to Wales and back to London many many hours have been spent on the road and it has all been worth it. This selection of images is in no particular order and range from the weddings I have photographed to the editorial shoots I have been a part of.

A big thank you must go out to all the suppliers I have worked with this year. These weddings would not be the brilliant events they are without you and it’s been a privilege to work alongside some of the best in the industry.

So many things have happened in 2018 it’s hard to process it all! Work wise I have been published over 12 times in a variety of online and printed publications which always makes me feel amazing as when I first started I never thought I would be good enough to be featured in the places I found inspiration in.

I have also mentored a number of brilliant fellow photographers this year and it’s been amazing being a part of their journey and being able to use my own experience to help them. Again I am totally humbled that people believe in me and support me in the way that they do.

There has also been another big change in recent weeks! I have moved over from Nikon cameras to Sony and I am so excited about this change. I am in love with how these cameras have so far made bringing my vision for a photo to life in much more seamless and easy way. The quality is insane and I am so excited about them being a part of my 2019.

While work has been amazing 2018 personally has tested my resilience beyond anything I could of anticipated. The year opened with the death of my beloved Grandad on New Years Day and then proceeded to be a year of huge change. The Summer saw me leave my own fiance which totally broke my heart and also saw me camping out at my horses stables for 3 months before I found somewhere to live. I have had bouts of anxiety and felt very very lost at times but the whole experience has given me so many amazing lessons about who I am as a person and I have come out the other side stronger and more determined than ever.

I also need to say a massive thank you to the people in my life who helped prop me up during those times. Your love and support gave me the strength to still show up as my best self for my clients and do the work I love. You know who you all are and I will always be grateful.

2019 is shaping up to be a wonderful year indeed and I am so excited about the weddings and projects I have in the diary already. I still need to pinch myself that day in day out I get to do this work.

So without much further a do here is some of my favourite images of 2018.
Have a wonderful New Year everyone and I hope that 2019 brings you all that you wish for.

Ami xx
