Wedding photo of the week. Nineteen.

Today I have for you a super bright confetti throw. This was from the wedding of Sophie & Lush and there are many reasons I love this photo and their wedding.

They had their ceremony at Southwark Registry Office and it was absolutely pouring it down. Did that for a second stop these guys from having the most wonderful day? Absolute not.

In fact I will say that this wedding had the most things go wrong with it in my entire career.

As well as the torrential rain after the ceremony it became quickly apparent that the routemaster booked to take everyone to the party wasn’t going to show up. After some investigation it turned out it had broken down and the company weren’t going to send a replacement. I mean, seriously?

If that was me, there would be a high chance that I would have lost my shit. Not Sophie & Lush though. They calmly instructed everyone to sort Ubers for themselves while we grabbed a black cab.

The weather was definitely a bit of an issue as the reception was a garden party at Sophie’s parents house. Again, they and their guests could have let this get to them but that was absolutely not the case and what followed was a lovely afternoon of people getting merry under some gazebos. It was perfect.

And I believe the day finished with Sophie & Lush heading off to the airport for their honeymoon in their wedding clothes.

It was a genuinely beautiful and wonderful wedding which is why I love this confetti photo because it’s so happy and filled with love.
