Wedding photo of the week. Twenty.
Well I appreciate that I am 100% a bit behind on this now. The truth is the past couple of weeks have been intense after the murder of George Floyd. I have been spending my time looking at how I can work to improve diversity in the wedding industry and if you would like to see some of the resources I have shared you can head to my Instagram. Going forward I know that I need to be doing more to become consistently anti-racist so the world we live in can be a better place for everyone.
For today’s image we are rolling back to 2017 to one of my favourite wedding venues, Smedmore House in Dorset. This beautiful estate overlooking the Dorset coastline is the perfect place for an EPIC outdoor wedding and I was meant to be shooting a wedding there in exactly a month today! Sadly Covid19 had other plans but I am excited that it will be happening next year.
I took this image at Alice & Tom’s stunning wedding at Smedmore House in 2017 and it’s favourite for me because the South West Coastline definitely has a piece of my heart having grown up in Devon. The scenery never fails to take my breath away and this quiet moment in the evening exactly where Alice & Tom exchanged their vows has always been a favourite of mine.
The light and the colours as well is why I always try to get my couples out for some photos as the sun goes down. I can’t wait for many more moments like this in the future.
