Loft Studios London wedding photography with Mark & Matthew
Ahhhh I am so excited about sharing this wedding at the brilliant Loft Studios in London. This wedding is the perfect example of how you can make your day your own. Mark & Matthew wanted a day that reflected them! A beautiful coming together of their friends & family.
Loft Studios is one of my favourite London wedding venues and I have had the pleasure of working there several times now. It’s urban warehouse vibes, unique spaces and beautiful light are the perfect backdrop for a fun filled wedding day. Mark & Matthew certainly filled it with love and music.
I had the pleasure of photographing their friends weddings (Grace & David and Naomi & Jennie) previously so it very much felt like hanging out with old friends.
Prep was at the venue with Mark & Matthew surrounded by the closest friends before we quickly popped out for some couple photos. Then it was time for the ceremony. These two had done the legal bit on a different day so that gave them the freedom to have a ceremony that was truly theirs. They had beautiful readings from friends and some incredible live music before they exchanged their vows.
It was then time to have fun. The afternoon was filled with many beautiful speeches from friends & family, amazing food and then it was on to the evening.
I am sure we can all agree that Mark & Matthew looked incredible and I loved that they had an outfit change for the evening. I am onboard for all couples doing this. You only get to have this day once so two outfits are a must in my very humble opinion.
The rest of the evening was filled with more live music from friends and one hell of a party that took over the courtyard as well as the dance floor. It was incredible and I loved being in thick of it getting knocked around a little and capturing everyone having fun.
I am also really proud to have won a This is Reportage story award for this wedding. It’s an incredibly difficult award to get in the documentary wedding photography world with images selected from 14,800 entries on the last round.

Loft Studios is a wedding venue located in Kensal Green in West London. It’s the perfect wedding venue if you want something a little different for your wedding and it’s a proper party venue. It has a gorgeous warehouse style to it and because it’s also a photo studio the light is amazing and it’s also a blank canvas to make your own.
There are so many different spaces so you can create a real flow to your wedding day. They have two dressing rooms which are perfect for prep in the morning and they have 3 huge bright spaces where you can host your ceremony, have some fun group photos, an amazing wedding breakfast and also a wonderful party as you flow into the night.
They also have the courtyard downstairs which is where you can have that iconic confetti moment before enjoying a drinks reception. It’s also the perfect space for cocktail hour and to take the party outside if you want to. Also, because of the location of Loft Studios they can have a much later license and louder party than some of the other London wedding venues.
I should also mention that the team there are amazing. Every time I have photographed a wedding there they have been so helpful and friendly. You can tell they really care about what they do and the people who choose to get married there.
