These are two of my favourite East London venues so I am very excited to show off the gorgeous wedding of Sam & Sean. These two wound up with a slightly wet summer wedding but that did not spoil the day in the slightest, it never does.

To start of the day I joined Sean briefly to capture some of his final bits of prep before I headed over to the Zetter Town House to join Sam. I love the Zetter Town House, it’s such a great hotel to get ready in with it’s quirky but beautiful decor.

We then hopped in a cab, armed with umbrellas to make our way to Hackney Town Hall. This is such a beautiful London Town Hall and one I always love to photograph at. There is this stunning art deco feel to the whole building and their front and steps are iconic for confetti. Sam & Sean had chosen the committee room for their ceremony, it’s a beautiful space with floor to ceiling wood panels.

After the ceremony we had a matter of seconds to grab some photos in the hallway before heading outside for confetti. I always advocate for the bio degradable paper discs (proper confetti) if you want the big colourful impact. We then had a small amount of time for some group photos before we all got on the bus to Bourne & Hollingsworth.

I have been so excited about finally getting to photograph a wedding at the Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings in Clerkenwell. It really is a beautiful and quirky space. A stones throw from Exmouth Market this building feels like a converted warehouse but with a twist. It’s bright with whitewashed walls and unique stylish furniture AND its filled with plants. Basically all of my favourite things, white walls, great light and plants. You don’t need to do a lot to make this space look and feel amazing for a wedding PLUS the team are so lovely. I visited them twice this year and I can’t wait to go back.

The whole afternoon was filled with lots of fun, joy and love. This is what I love about weddings, there are so few times in our lives that we have everyone we love together in one place and this is the why for me. Capturing something this important for people because of that coming together.
