Pedro's wine bar, East London wedding venue.
Ok, this London wedding was soooo wonderful. Meg & Calum booked me earlier this year and when Meg said she was wearing her Mother’s wedding dress my heart got a little bigger. And what a dress it was. Meg just looked EPIC which is one of the many reasons I am excited to share this wedding.
Meg & Calum wanted a fun London wedding with all of their favourite people. They have been together since they were teenagers so everyone was already like family. I don’t think I will ever get bored of photographing weddings in London and I do love a visit to Southwark Registry Office which is between Peckham & Camberwell.
This cute registry office is perfect for an intimate London wedding. You have the Garden room which will hold up to 35 guests and after the ceremony you get the garden to yourself for some group and couple photos before confetti out the front.
Meg & Calum’s ceremony was beautiful and really emotional. Calum openly crying when Meg came in was such a special moment. It was also so clear how loved these two are. For the confetti they had loads of their friends waiting outside to greet them before we all got on to the bus and headed to Pedro’s Wine Bar near London Bridge.
I was so delighted to visit a wedding venue I haven’t worked at yet and Pedro’s is a really great venue for a London wedding. It’s under the arches on Druid Street so has this gorgeous urban feel. It’s also a small family business with a focus on Portuguese wine and great food. They have capacity for up to 150 guests and the space is bigger than it looks with the mezzanine upstairs.
Meg & Calum arrived to drinks outside and downstairs, before the sun went we also took some time to walk to the river and get some photos with Tower Bridge in the background, the light was stunning. Then everyone headed upstairs for food & speeches on the mezzanine before a huge party downstairs.
This day was such a joy to photograph and it was really hard to choose photos for the blog. I hope you enjoy immersing yourself in the photos.
The other wonderful suppliers were: Hair & Makeup by Hannah Kenney | Flowers by Flower & Press | Cake by Flour Baby Bakery.
