A beautiful urban wedding styled shoot at Islington Metal Works, London.
Hello, long time no see. However it’s summer and that’s always a busy time and blogging winds up being put on the back burner HOWEVER I really have some amazing content to be showing off (as well as photo of the week which will be back next week) I also have some posts coming out from some other fantastic wedding suppliers to help you lovely brides and grooms with planning!
Back to todays post… I have for you the stunning styled shoot I was a part of earlier in the year.
When Hazel from Honey V Tiaras got in touch with me about this idea last year I had to take part. Hazel was bringing together a fantastic team and had also bought on board the brilliant London wedding venue Islington Metal Works to create an Urban yet Chic wedding inspiration shoot.
For me styled shoots are always about the collaboration. Working creatively with other suppliers to create work that we love. The wedding industry can actually be quite an isolating place especially as a wedding photographer so getting out and having a day like this is always a pleasure.
I am not going to pretend that I am a descriptive styled shoot write up genius, I am genuinely bad at describing these types of things, I am however, good at photographing them. I will say that I loved the contrast of this shoot. The Urban backdrop of the venue mixed with the softer more chic styling made this fun to shoot and I love what all the other suppliers did to bring this to life.
I also took one of my favourite images (the cover image) and this image was one I had in mind when I was told Elliot & Jinny were dancers. I wanted to show the idea of flying away together and it was made all the better by Jinny’s amazing dress and the dark backdrop of the street outside. The sign telling people not be a nuisance was just an added bonus :)
