An intimate wedding in the Mayor's Parlour at Islington Town Hall.

Mayor's Parlour at Islington Town Hall

Islington Town Hall is basically my second home. Over the years I have photographed dozens of weddings there. From big epic days to the smaller and more intimate elopements. I love all of them and I love photographing weddings at Islington Town Hall.

Today I thought I would share a lovely little London elopement with Kim & Tad who said I do in my favourite little room at Islington. The Mayor’s Parlour is this beautiful room upstairs in the town hall that has capacity for four wedding guests as well as the couple and me ;) it’s only available on Friday & Saturday’s because it is actually where the Mayor works and it’s stunning. With gorgeous wooden panelled walls and the light is always so wonderful through the big windows. It’s intimate with character and beauty, perfect for small weddings at Islington Town Hall.

I met Kim & Tad outside the town hall with their guests. This is always so lovely, lots of hugs and excitement before we went into wait for a few moments. These two surrounded themselves with their closest friends. Kim also looked stunning in her Galvan wedding dress, which she rented, such a great idea and so much better for the environment.

It was then time for the ceremony which was super sweet and simple, enthusiastically supported by their lovely friends and the room was filled with all the Autumn sunshine.

Afterwards we had the opportunity to capture some quick portraits around the beautiful corridors and staircase of Islington Town Hall before we headed outside for confetti.

And because we had a little bit of time we all made our way over to Udderlicious for ice cream, this was such a fun idea and made for some really lovely photos as well as everyone getting to eat great ice cream.

I really loved photographing this gorgeous London elopement and I hope you enjoy the photos.
