The Hoxton in Shepherds Bush, London, Wedding Venue Inspiration.
I am so excited to share this gorgeous London wedding at The Hoxton in Shepherds Bush. It’s always so much fun to go to a wedding venue that I have never been to before. Something new to discover and it always gives a boost to my creativity.
Louise & Andy wanted a relaxed London wedding and chose to celebrate super close to home with the The Hoxton being just around the corner. I fully support this, making all of your logistics as easy as possible creates so much space on the day of your wedding to be able to be present and enjoy yourself.
We started at the hotel in the morning for prep, I loved the chaos in Louise’s room with friends and family. Lot’s going on but also lots of support and care. I also really loved the light in this space, big bright windows and views over the city made for a perfect setting. I also quickly popped in to see Andy as he did his final bits of prep, this is always a massive bonus when you get ready in the same hotel.
I really love Louise’s stunning dress from Love Story London and Andy’s green suit from Suit Supply. Also, I absolutely loved that Andy’s Grandmother did the flowers for them which is just such a lovely personal touch.
After everyone was ready we all hopped in a cab and headed to Marylebone Town Hall. One of my favourite London town halls. In fact this one is pretty iconic and has been marrying people for over 100yrs. I have been here many many times and it never gets old. The ceremony was in the Westminster Room, their biggest space and completely gorgeous with its wooden panelled walls. Also, the registrars here are always SO LOVELY.
I really loved that Louise & Andy did personal vows, this is such a great touch to make your wedding ceremony more personal. After the ceremony we had time for some photos inside the town hall before we went outside for confetti, these two followed advice and got the multi-coloured paper discs and it was EPIC. This never gets old on these steps.
After some group photos, everyone piled on to an old London bus to be taken back to The Hoxton while we got on our own little bus because L&A wanted to have some photos taken in Regents park with just themselves and their immediate family. This was so lovely, we all had little snack bags on the bus and the park was beautiful for photos. It was also really nice to have this travel time with their family.
Back at the Hoxton we headed to their private event space The Apartment, this is so beautiful and stylish, with multiple spaces for people to mingle together. I loved the decor and furnishings which meant that very little was needed to be added for it to feel like a great space for a celebration.
After some drinks, everyone sat down for food and speeches. I loved the speeches! Both Louise & Andy gave one plus their sisters AND Louise’s dad who is also a photographer shared the most beautiful slideshow of photographs he had taken over the years from when Louise was born to the present day. Its these little touches that make weddings so wonderful.
The light was epic after dinner so we headed outside to capture a few couple photos in the local area and I really loved how we got to play with the urban feel of Shepherds Bush with the honey warm evening light. A magical combination.
And then it was time to party. This London wedding really was such a joy to photograph and be a part of. I loved capturing all of these beautiful memories.
