An epic Surrey pub wedding at the Half Moon in Windlesham.
I am so excited to share the photos from this gorgeous Surrey pub wedding. I actually can’t believe I haven’t blogged it yet because this was such a fun day. When we first chatted Amber & Fionnan were super clear that the priorities for their wedding was for it to be relaxed and fun! They had a huge group of friends & family and wanted to include everyone so this also meant a BIG wedding party of bridesmaids, groomsmen and children. The whole day was epic.
I began at prep with Amber and her huge wedding party. Amber did her own makeup which I love and everyone was singing and dancing in the garden throughout the morning. The celebration kicked off early! Amber had her Sister help her get dressed and I loved her simple but beautiful wedding dress from Wed2Be. We had the big reveal before I left ahead of everyone to get to the church.
A&F chose St John the Baptist in Windlesham for their ceremony. Amber’s Mum who had sadly passed had a strong relationship with this church so it was really important to Amber to get married here.
Amber arrived to greet her bouquet of flowers and I speak of them as an additional guest as I have never seen such a huge bouquet! Filled with wonderful sunflowers, peonies & daisies and other beauties, Steph Lovell did a great job bringing this to life.
The ceremony was personal and emotional, a joy to witness. After we all headed outside for some windy confetti & group photos before making our way to The Half Moon Pub, just a short distance down the road. Now, I am so impressed with how amazing this pub is for a pub wedding. The garden is huge and also part covered, so if relaxed pub garden is your vibe for a wedding then this is perfect.
A&F sacked all tradition and had a huge BBQ outside and music from Upfront & Casual, the band that Amber’s Brother in Law sings in! This meant that everyone was dancing pretty much straight away. The whole afternoon and evening was filled with so much celebration and I loved all the amazing speeches that took place throughout the afternoon.
Documentary coverage was really important to A&F who didn’t want their wedding day to feel like a photo shoot. So we only took 10mins in the late afternoon to grab some photos around the church. More than enough and then back to the fun.
I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
