Bingham Riverhouse, a stunning Richmond wedding venue.
I have had the pleasure of photographing several weddings at the gorgeous Bingham Riverhouse in Richmond, South West London. It’s actually one of my favourite London wedding venues and I am genuinely surprised that it’s taken me this long to blog this beautiful wedding from 2023. Especially as this was the first time I had the pleasure of capturing a ceremony in the small but cute gardens.
I have so many weddings in the archives that I would love to share so we will begin here with Lisa & Nick.
These two lovely humans bought friends and family from all over the world to celebrate with them by the river in Richmond. It was the August bank holiday weekend and the weather was behaving which meant their ceremony could go ahead outside.
I began my day with Lisa for prep, which was really relaxed with a handful of close friends and family. Lisa chose the most gorgeous Eva Lendel wedding dress, a modern but classic style. Emily Lush was on Hair & Makeup duty and the morning felt calm yet also excited for the upcoming celebration.
We need to have a moment for the flowers! I have worked with Johanna Pedrick before and she is such a talented florist. For this wedding she did the most incredible flower arch outside for the ceremony. So many beautiful summer colours. You can see from Lisa’s expression in the photos below how pleased she was.
L&N chose to have a celebrant led ceremony. I will always advocate for this. Celebrants go above and beyond to create personal ceremonies for their couples. I really hope that in the future they become legal, making it easier for couples to have agency over how they get married. Aggie the Celebrant led L&N’s ceremony. Telling their story with emotion and humour, it really was so special.
After the ceremony everything was really relaxed, drinks in the sunshine followed by food and a speech by the couple. We found a pocket of time when the light got good to do some couple photos in the garden and along the river. I loved how sweet these two were together and the light!!!
The evening was a Ceilidh with the epic Ceilidh Tree who led hours of fun trying to do this traditional Scottish dance in a very small space. I LOVE Ceilidh’s, my own Scottish ancestry gets super excited when couples tell me they are having this for their evening entertainment. It also gives endless great photo opportunities.
This wedding was such a joy to photograph. It’s been wonderful to dig the images out of my archives and relive the day, so I hope you enjoy them too!
