Life in lockdown with four kittens.

kitten photos

So while we have been in lockdown, if you follow me on Instagram you will know that I have been documenting things at home to keep myself busy. I love photography, hence why I am a photographer (duh) and the thought of not being able to do what I love to do which is my job for goodness knows how long was really upsetting.

Fortunately for me my housemates cat Tilly had a litter of four perfect British Shorthaired Kittens in late January. Betsy, Ursula, Trouble and Chester have given me nothing short of endless moments to capture for the past month while I have been stuck at home.

There are not many opportunities in your life I suppose where you get to be stuck at home with kittens so I do consider myself fortunate and capturing them grow up has been amazing. They are a bunch of posers and full of mischief, as I am writing this they are destroying the bathroom. Last night they shredded an entire toilet roll and they just don’t give a shit. I think that is what I love about them the most, their over confidence and couldn’t give a fuck attitude.

They are also super cuddly and make the best noises, I didn’t realise that cats had such a wide range of vocal noises. I am going to be very very sad when the boys go to their new homes but at least the girls are staying and I am sure have more entertainment in store for us.

This isn’t a narrow selection of photos, this documenting has taken up most of my life for the past month (oh how small our worlds have become) but these are some of my favourites and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed taking them.

All taken on my Sony a9 and Sigma 35mm 1.4 art, for those who care about such things.
