A London engagement photo shoot with Shirley & Albert.
Another week and another blog. Now because I like everything to go in chronological order this week I have a gorgeous London engagement photo shoot to show off.
Shirley & Albert are getting married next month and I absolutely can’t wait! They will be having their day at Bury Court Barn and it’s also the first time I will get to work with the brilliant Always Andri Wedding Planner.
They have such a great day planned and as a part of their package they booked an engagement shoot so we could hang out beforehand and get them comfortable in front of the camera. Engagement sessions are always great for this but they are also great because it means couples get some beautiful photos together that aren’t iPhone selfies.
We decided on East London for their shoot as they are having a countryside wedding it would be nice to have the contrasting images. We completely lucked out with the weather but not so much with the reopening of society and Shoreditch was a little busy to say the least but we made it work. Capturing some fun images with the street art before heading over to Wapping to get some shots around Pelican Stairs as the tide was out.
Unfortunately because the pub there was closed we couldn’t get access to the beach but it all worked out as we decided to walk further down the Thames to another beach we could see and along the way we found some great spots that wouldn’t have seen had Pelican Stairs been open.
I absolutely love this session and it was actually my first couple shoot of the year and it felt so good to get back to creating beautiful and creative images with some epic light.
