Wedding photographer in London at the George IV in Chiswick with Elisabeth & Michael.

And we are finally into August 2021 weddings on the blog. Although the 2022 wedding season is officially underway, I am determined to keep up with my blogging. Mostly because it has been so lovely to go through my work from the last 12 months. 2021 was such a blur that I didn’t really get to stop and appreciate my job and the work I create.

So today is the turn of Elisabeth & Michael who had the most lovely wedding in West London. We started the day at Our Lady of Lourdes church in Acton and all churches need to take note of how wonderful this place is. The priest was an absolute joy to work with and valued the memories I was there to create for our couple.

The ceremony was one of joy, music and emotion and the most important part of the day for Elisabeth and Michael. I really really love it when couples have ceremonies that mean something to them whether that’s religious or humanist, that personal touch makes all the difference. Especially when it comes to photography.

After the ceremony we headed to Gunnersbury Park for group and couple photos. I think we can all agree that Elisabeth looked amazing and the best bit is that she made her dress herself! I have had a few brides do this and I bloody love it.

It was then on to the reception which was held at The George IV in Chiswick. I always enjoy a visit to this venue. It’s a challenging space to work in as the lighting is CRAZY but I enjoy the challenge and see it as an opportunity to be creative. The reception was as joyful as the ceremony with plenty of great speeches, games and fun.

I loved everything about photographing this wedding and I am so happy to be finally sharing it!
