The Glass House in Springfield Park wedding photography.

I am so very happy to be showing off this wonderful wedding from last summer. Katherine & Pratik had the most beautiful and fun fusion wedding planned. Pratik is Nepalese so they wanted to combine their love of London but also his Asian culture and what a day it was.

They had chosen the Glass House in Springfield Park. This is one of Hackney Venues newest spaces for events in East London. This modern bright space is perfect for those who want an East London wedding but to also be submerged in nature. With the courtyard and huge windows The Glass House can really bring the outside in and you can have both your ceremony and reception there.

Which is exactly what Katherine & Pratik did. The day started at an AirBnB nearby for prep, with hair being expertly done by Love Hair by Lou and Makeup by Beaut Bride. Katherine also opted for traditional Hindu wedding sari which she selected in Nepal. I love the red colour for a wedding and Katherine looked amazing, she also had an outfit change for the party later on.

We all made our way to The Glass House where we met everyone for group photos before the ceremony. It was lovely to capture their first look so naturally and I love this way of doing things as it maximises your time with your guests post ceremony rather than wasting a fun drinks reception standing around for photos.

It was super hot as well so it good to get them done quickly.

They then had a beautiful Hindu wedding ceremony which I always love as there are so many great moments to capture. I love how Hindu wedding ceremonies really involve the rest of the family in the rituals, it always feels so personal.

Then it was on top drinks! I also loved how they decorated the space with origami cranes and the flowers by Boom Blooms were incredible and colourful which really complimented the simplicity of the space.

The dinner and speeches were all lovely, the space has so much beautiful light that it made being a photographer super easy and great speeches always equal great moments so there was lots to capture. The party was really important to Katherine so she wanted to go straight from dinner into dancing and her and her Dad opened the dance floor with an energetic dance before Katherine & Pratik had their first dance, I really loved this way of doing things.

The dance floor was packed from the word go because of the brilliant band from Entertainment Nation who knew exactly how to get the party going! You just can’t beat an epic dance floor.

The whole of this wedding was amazing to be a part of and capture. It was also really great to work with Cherelle from Perfectly Planned 4 You, Abigail & Luke Films and also to have Sarah Wills Photography second shoot for me.
