Wedding photo of the week. Eight.
It’s that time again! And can we just talk for a minute about how on earth are we eight weeks into the year? It’s just flying by which is very scary. I had my first wedding of the year this week at the lovely Chelsea Old Town Hall and then a reception at The Phene. It was so nice to be back photographing what I love after a little break. I have another gap now though until May and then it’s hit the ground running as 2020 is very nearly fully booked.
I have chosen today an image from Amy & Phil’s wedding at the stunning Ashton Memorial in Lancaster. I absolutely loved this day and while this image isn’t technically perfect the reason I love it is because it captures the fun they had in their ceremony.
A wedding ceremony is obviously a serious affair, you are committing your lives to one another in front of a lot of witnesses and those vows are super important. That being said though I absolutely love it when a couple put a personal stamp on their ceremony. Amy & Phil decided to do a sing song with their guests and in that beautiful building with everyone singing there was goosebumps and smiles all round.
And that is why I love this image. It captures the little bit of magic that was happening in that moment, the type of magic that only occurs at weddings.
