Wedding photo of the week. Two.
Today I have for you lovely lot my second favourite wedding image for 2020. As this year is my 10th year as a wedding photographer so each week I am bringing you one of my favourite images from my career.
This week I have one from Michelle & Richard’s London wedding back in 2018. The reason I love this image is because not every wedding is made up of the traditional family formats.
My own family definitely doesn’t fit the traditional, I know that as and when I get married I won’t be walked down the aisle by my Dad as we don’t speak anymore so my wedding definitely won’t be fitting into the standard wedding traditions.
This means I absolutely love it when I photograph a wedding where those traditions are maybe shifted round.
Michelle & Richard had the joy of being able to have their grown up children attend their wedding and I loved that Michelle was walked down the aisle and given away by her son. Which is why I love this image.
They arrived ahead of everyone else and I love this moment that they had while walking from the taxi to The Yacht to wait for everyone else to arrive. It’s not the most creative or dynamic image but it’s the moment I love and how much it meant to Michelle and her son.
